Tidings has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. We never sell or share your data. The free features keep everything on your device. If you subscribe to Auto-Send, we store only the greetings you schedule — and you can delete them at any time.
Your people, their occasions, message templates, reminder settings, and send history are stored only on your device (and in your own iOS device backup). Importing from Contacts or Calendar happens entirely on your device with iOS permission. One-tap sending opens the standard Messages app — Tidings itself sends nothing.
When you turn on Auto-Send (an explicit consent screen), Tidings uploads to our server only what delivery requires: each scheduled greeting's recipient phone number, the message text (which may include the recipient's first name and your name as signature), and the delivery time, together with a random device identifier. This is used solely to deliver your greetings and honor opt-outs — never for advertising, profiling, or sale.
Retention & deletion: schedules are kept until delivered, plus a minimal delivery log. Turning Auto-Send off deletes your scheduled greetings from our server; for any other deletion request, email us. One exception we are required to keep: opt-out (STOP) suppression records must persist so that a recipient who opted out never hears from Tidings again.
Recipients: anyone can stop messages permanently by replying STOP; HELP returns assistance. Details: SMS consent & opt-in.
Billing is handled entirely by Apple. We receive no payment details.
